Dates: May 31st to July 14th from 8:30am to 4:30pm
Where: McKinley Elementary School (1102 14th St, SF CA 94114)
Cost: FREE for families that qualify for a scholarship or $325/week
What: ASEP is non-profit youth development organization specializing in after school and summer programming. ASEP’s 2017 summer camp is themed “Amazing Summer Adventure” and it is designed for students in grades K-5th. Each week campers will take part in field trips, specialty enrichment classes, organized sports and a Read-A-thon! Field Trip activities include Academy of Sciences, Dolores Park, De Young Museum, San Francisco Zoo & the Botanical Gardens.
See below for specific themes for each week!
⃝ Week 1 – May 31st to June 2nd, Intro to Summer Fun! The first week of camp is designed to build community and trust between campers and staff through interactive games and spirit themed activities.
⃝ Week 2 – June 5th to June 9th, Arts and Creativity- Campers will be using their creative imaginations through artistic expression and learning.
⃝ Week 3 – June 13th to June 17th, Mad Science- Campers will be doing some fun science experiments while learning about what makes things work and move.
⃝ Week 4 – June 19th to June 23rd, Wild and Crazy Sports- Bay Area sports teams will be celebrated as students try out different games played by their favorite players and sports heroes.
⃝ Week 5 – June 26th to June 30th, Love our City- Campers will be exploring what makes San Francisco so wonderfully unique through art projects and games.
⃝ Week 6 – July 3th to July 7th, Jurassic Journey- Prehistoric adventures will bring campers back in time as they learn about the science and history of the world’s long lost beasts.
⃝ Week 7 – July 10th to July 14th, End of Summer Fun- Campers will be wrapping up our Summer camp with relay races, freeze dance competitions, and a big party to celebrate our summer together in ASEP.
