ASEP is facing a shortage of funding until schools reopen. You can support ASEP through these challenging times and help us be prepared and ready for our students when they return back to school. Please consider donating to ASEP below.
The health and safety of ASEP students, staff and community partners remains our top priority as an organization. In an effort to keep ASEP families up to date regarding ASEP's plans and preparedness for impacts of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 in our community, we will continue to keep this page updated. The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) announced on 3/25/20 their decision to close all school sites to students through May 1st, 2020. As a result, ASEP will also temporarily cancel all of our after-school programs during this time.
During the closure, our ASEP staff will continue to be paid for their regular hours to reduce the economic burden brought on by this pandemic. Keeping staff employed will also ensure that when schools reopen, your child’s after school program will be ready to re-open with the same ASEP staff your children work with every day.
In light of the current COVID-19 crisis facing our global community, our ASEP team is in the process of planning for the various scenarios when schools will reopen. In an effort to keep ASEP families informed and navigate these uncertain times we will be making some changes to our original 19/20 billing schedule. Those changes are outlined below.
ASEP will NOT send families invoices on March 25th for April services.
Any families who are enrolled in recurring payments plans have already had their payment issued during the month of March. Those payments will be reimbursed.
ASEP will be cancelling all recurring payment plans for the remainder of the 19/20 school year.
If your family is enrolled in a recurring payment plan for an outstanding balance, that recurring plan will not be cancelled until the date agreed upon on your contract.
In the event that schools reopen for May, we will send updated invoices accordingly. If your family was enrolled in a recurring payment plan, we will use the card on file to charge your family for those services.
For the 20/21 school year, your family will be required to fill out a new tuition contract and recurring payment form for the Fall ‘20 semester.
If your family is facing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, please contact ASEP’s Program Director Ramiro Lule (Ramiro@asepsf.org) and our team and we will be able to provide full or partial tuition scholarships.
ASEP’s management team will continue to keep families up to date with any information and resources made available by the city and SFUSD. Please find links below where you can find information regarding free meals and emergency childcare during the school closures:
